Do you feel that the candidates that run for election in Kane County should use vendors in Kane County for their election materials, if the cost are competitive?
Right wing? Extremists? Associating with accused pedophiles? Socialists? Liars? Well paid socialists?

Seems to me that the ACT group grates on those that don't like public disclosure.
I am through with this ACT group. I went to the alleged press conference at 2:45 and it never happeneed. How can a website allow/permit such misinformation? Why did ACT tell readers the time/place? Goodbye forever and good luck.

Wow, someone representing a county board member would do that? Lieing and childish! I guess Carlson and his friends can't be trusted. They must be desperate.
WOW! Looks like the idea of buying local IS a terrible idea after all .... so bad in fact that the City of St. Charles is passing local ordinance to ENCOURAGE supporting local vendors!!!!
St. Charles policy gives edge to local vendors
By Josh Stockinger jstockinger@dailyherald.com Posted Tuesday, July 17, 2007
Local vendors would have a better chance of winning municipal contracts under a policy approved preliminarily Monday by St. Charles aldermen.
The policy promises preference for local vendors who either tie with an outside company for a low bid or come within 1 percent of the lowest bid for construction materials and other services.
Pam Colby, the city’s finance director, said the policy was based on a survey of other communities and staff recommendations.
If approved next by the full city council, it would replace an existing system that gives preference to local vendors only when they tie for the lowest bid.
“It’s always been the city’s priority to encourage local vendors to bid on all of our projects,” Colby said.
On Monday, the city’s government operations committee voted 8-0 to tentatively approve the policy. Second Ward Alderman Cliff Carrignan was absent.
Colby said state and federal restrictions prevent preference in public works projects, vehicle purchases and federally funded programs.
An example of how the policy could play out would be if a local vendor’s bid was $500,000, or $5,000 higher than a bid from an outside company. In that case, the city could award the contract to the local vendor because there is only a 1 percent difference between the prices.
New Geneva school already has a traffic issue By Lisa Smith lsmith@dailyherald.com Posted Wednesday, July 18, 2007
Kane County Board member Jan Carlson wants the board to reconsider last week’s zoning approval change for the Geneva school district after his constituents complained that construction trucks are using a narrow neighborhood street to access the school site in the Mill Creek development.
Comment: Has anyone in Mill Creek wondered where Jan Carlson has been?
Now that the election season is upon us all those calls and those constituent visits are now taking place.
Looks as if due to ACT's persuasion the County Board Chairman has now CHANGED prior policy and is now spending campaign dollars in her own home county.
This would not have happened without the blog and website.
Why the change?
I guess the DuPage printing partnerships have to go to the wayside due to political pressure. (At least for awhile.)
Note the complete silence of the administration on the accurate point of out of county spending. PUBLIC RECORD DOES NOT LIE.
The only response from the administrator's staff is the nauseating mantra of the "far right extreme" label against ACT which will prove to be so inaccurate.
I have not recieved 3 FOIA's from the county. I have forwarded those to the Attorney General. I will keep you posted on what comes out of it. J. MacRunnels
Did anyone else notice that some of the few walkers for Jan Carlson (County Board member Elburn) were employees of the Kane County Development Department?

Just wondering.
The ACT Xtreme socialist group is out of control.
Is ACT a extreme socialist or Right wing? The only ones that want it both ways is the Chairman.
ACT has a BIG problem with individuals getting paid well regardless of qualifications, skills, responsibilities, hard work, etc.
That to me is a socialist.
I wonder if I should bring my video of Carlson dosing off during a county board meeting to the press conference.
The board of directors of ACT are college educated and independent business owners.
This is not socialist.
In fact their qualifications are more extensive than some members that are currently representing the county.
How do you know about hard work?
You don't work with these people and you have nothing to do with them.
You just want to criticize those that don't belong to your crony club (and don't want to.)
Joke of the month.
The ACT group have been described as:
Right wing?
Extremists?
Associating with accused pedophiles?
Socialists?
Liars?
Well paid socialists?

Why is it that those that work for successful people always accuse those that do well of never deserving it?
Sounds like envy to everyone else.
The county employees probably don't like the high paid consultants and others driving up in their fancy cars while they are working for minimum wage.
Everyone deserves to do well. It is the American dream.
ACT supports Kane County employees
AND KANE COUNTY VENDORS AND BUSINESSES.
My guess is that due to the education of expenditures of ACT you will see more money remaining in Kane County than in prior campaigns.
The vendors here will see the about face and know it is because ACT called attention to it.
ACT is happy to assist in changing past practices.
We will see if ACT has the impact if and when money now is spend where it belongs. Right here in the county.
As long as the hard working employees over at the County Government Center all get a fair living wage ACT is for it.
Spend less on consultants for the jail and more on OUR KANE county employees.
They deserve it.

Since yu know so much about the ACT group, you must to be one of them.
Seems to me that the ACT group doesn't want the people to know they are inside of the political arena preparing the field to anounce their candidates.
Cheap shots to get people elected.
The alleged misinformation was provided by someone representing Mr. Carlson.
It was a lie.
The board of directors are being placed online.
You will see that these people are capable business owners and taxpayers and not in the political arena.
As usual you have no idea of what you are talking about.

Where is that Board of Directors?
It will probably be posted before the Freedom of Information reports that are over a month late will be released.
As already posted the Board of Directors will be posted by Monday.
Then the Batavia Bulldog and her other nasty attackers can personally attack more taxpayers and Kane County citizens.
Is that soon enough for you?
It is still a mystery as to why people directly involved with a candidate continue to insult a citizen's group.
Is this really accomplishing anything?
I see that the D-2's show 100% spent in Kane for the Chairman. Thank you ACT.
I got a call yesterday about FOIA not being given. Is the county not willing or unable to provide the info?
I have not recieved 3 FOIA's from the county. I have forwarded those to the Attorney General. I will keep you posted on what comes out of it.
J. MacRunnels
They provide very sketchy information with NO detail.
The requests that have not been responded to are the ones most problematic to the county.
Wonder why?
Great site, was at a GOP outing this weekend and was told about this site. LOVE IT!!
It appears that the county chairman is having a fundraiser this week.
Why is this being kept so quiet?
And if it is not when and where is it?
Quiet?
Hundreds attended!
The invitations must have been printed out of the county.
And 99% had contracts with the county.
Another country club affair no doubt.
Put that important attendance list on this site.
Let's see who is making money from the county these days.
Did the county taxpayer employed secretary take money at the front desk like last time?
Or did the thousands of dollars a month paid consultants?
This Just In ! ACT Doubles Membership as McRennles Buys Mirror. More Later.
You might think so but there are more people that believe just like he does about the hypocrisy out there.
This is a good site, but there needs to be current and new information.
Ms. ELN,
It's time for you to take your poison blog pen somewhere else.
Maybe you can go around the county to the taxpayers up here (the "crazies) and ask for bridge money so we don't have to pay tolls?
Looks like the hundreds of thousands of dollars paid to DC connected lobbyists really paid off.
Did you read the Courier today?
What a waste of OUR money.
Was at a GOP outing this weekend and was told about this site. LOVE IT!

did anyone notice how weird you are Jim?
Was at a GOP outing this weekend and was told about this site. LOVE IT!
Seems like a lot of people like how "weird" Jim is.
"Weird" Jim is changing county government policy everyday.
Does anyone think the new changes are a coincidence?
No one does.
sure, Jim is our hero... funny...
what's going on?
